The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Ansible Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for the development and management of automation solutions, leveraging Ansible to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an Ansible Developer with a strong portfolio of successful automation projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ansible, YAML, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for extending Ansible functionality.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code principles using Ansible to define and manage infrastructure in a declarative manner.
  • Create end-to-end automation workflows, integrating Ansible with other tools and technologies to achieve seamless automation.
  • Manage and optimise configuration files, templates, and variables used in Ansible playbooks.
  • Maintain and update inventory files, ensuring accurate representation of infrastructure components.
  • Implement security measures and best practices within Ansible playbooks to ensure secure automation processes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and IT teams to understand automation requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimise Ansible playbooks, and implement best practices for efficiency.
  • Manage and version control Ansible playbooks using tools such as Git, ensuring a structured and collaborative development process.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for Ansible playbooks, automation workflows, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, sharing your expertise in Ansible development and automation.
