The Role:

We are looking for a Senior BigQuery Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data solutions using Google BigQuery. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a BigQuery developer with a strong portfolio of data analytics and warehousing projects.
  • Expertise in Google BigQuery, including data modelling, SQL scripting, and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of data solutions using Google BigQuery, including data modelling, SQL scripting, and optimization of queries.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of developers, ensuring best practices and the delivery of high-quality data solutions.
  • Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Optimise SQL queries, performance-tune data processing, and troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Integrate BigQuery with other data sources and tools, ensuring seamless data flow and data quality.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement data security and access controls, adhering to data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data schemas, query guides, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business requirements and analytics goals.
