The Role:

We are looking for a Senior CakePHP Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for development and maintenance of web applications, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, security, and usability. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a CakePHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
  • Solid understanding of PHP and MVC architectural patterns.
  • Proficiency in CakePHP, PHP, MySQL, and related web technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using CakePHP, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, identify bugs, and provide constructive feedback to junior developers.
  • Design and optimise database schema, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries to enhance the functionality of web applications.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance application speed and responsiveness.
  • Implement best practices for security, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the development team.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior developers, assisting in their skill development and career growth.
  • Collaborate with the UI/UX team and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and according to client requirements.
