The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Capistrano Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for managing the deployment and automation of our software applications. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

 
What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Capistrano Developer with a strong portfolio of successful deployment projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Capistrano, Ruby, and deployment automation tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and server administration.
  • Strong scripting skills, including shell scripting and Ruby.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of deployment strategies using Capistrano to ensure seamless application releases.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, including testing, staging, and production environments, to improve the deployment process.
  • Write and maintain custom deployment scripts and automation tools to meet specific project requirements.
  • Manage server configurations and environments to support different application requirements and scaling needs.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve deployment and infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure that all deployments meet security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and best practices for the development and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and DevOps engineers to streamline deployment processes and resolve deployment-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior developers and team members, sharing your expertise in Capistrano and deployment strategies.
