What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Cassandra Developer with a strong portfolio of successful Cassandra-based projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Cassandra, CQL (Cassandra Query Language), and data modelling.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with data pipeline technologies and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Cassandra data models, schema, and queries to support the requirements of our applications.
- Collaborate with data architects and engineers to design, optimise, and scale data storage and retrieval strategies using Cassandra.
- Set up, configure, and maintain Cassandra clusters to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Integrate Cassandra with other data sources and technologies as needed for data pipeline development and real-time analytics.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimise queries, and implement best practices to enhance system performance.
- Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data stored in Cassandra.
