The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Cloudera Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for ​​the development and maintenance of Cloudera-based solutions, contributing to the success of our data-driven projects. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Cloudera Developer with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloudera technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and Cloudera Manager.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimise data processing workflows using Cloudera technologies, such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Cloudera Manager.
  • Implement efficient and scalable data ingestion processes from various sources into the Cloudera ecosystem.
  • Develop and optimise data processing and transformation jobs using tools like Apache Spark and Apache Hive.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Cloudera clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimise queries, and implement best practices to enhance system performance.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data stored in the Cloudera ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to integrate Cloudera-based solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues within the Cloudera ecosystem.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and best practices for Cloudera development and administration.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior developers and team members, sharing your expertise in Cloudera development and administration.
