The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Express.js Developer for one of our clients who would be responsible for the design and implementation of server-side components using Express.js, contributing to the success of our web development projects. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an Express.js Developer with a strong portfolio of successful web development projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Node.js, Express.js, and RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in working with databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain server-side components and APIs using Express.js.
  • Implement and customise middleware for request processing, authentication, and authorization.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of web applications.
  • Work closely with database engineers to optimise data retrieval and storage processes using databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or others.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimise server-side code, and implement best practices to enhance application performance.
  • Implement security measures, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization, to protect web applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain code quality standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for server-side components, APIs, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive and effective web solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior developers, sharing your expertise in Express.js development.
