- 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Java Developer or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in Java application development, including knowledge of Java EE or Spring Framework.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Proficient in database design and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications following best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with architects and other developers to ensure software solutions are scalable and maintainable.
- Integrate Java applications with databases, write efficient SQL queries, and design database schemas.
- Collaborate with database administrators to optimise database performance.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay current with Java and industry trends, incorporating new technologies and features into the development process.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Java applications.
- Optimise code and algorithms for improved application performance.
