What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as an Apache Kafka Developer or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in Apache Kafka development and optimization for real-time data streaming.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture principles.
- Proficient in Kafka configurations, topics, partitions, and replication.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Apache Kafka applications, producers, consumers, and stream processors.
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and system administrators to implement scalable and efficient Kafka solutions.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Optimise Kafka configurations and settings for performance and reliability.
- Integrate Apache Kafka with microservices architectures to enable seamless communication and data exchange.
- Collaborate with microservices developers to implement Kafka-based communication patterns.
- Implement monitoring solutions for Kafka clusters to ensure performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka infrastructure and data streaming.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay current with Apache Kafka advancements and industry trends, incorporating new features into development practices.
